Photography has always been a passion for me, and I became seriously interested in it as a result of my interest railroad transportation that developed over 50 years ago. My photography website, davidclesterphoto.photoshelter.com is now live but still under development. I’ll be displaying images of railroads and railroad structures, other structures, commercial aviation, nature and wildlife, along with images of neon signs and gasoline (service) stations. Certainly an eclectic mix, but I believe you will enjoy many of my images. And, I’ll provide detailed stories and background on images in this blog.
I’ll maintain this blog to let you know about new adventures and images I’m working on. I use Nikon DSLRs for my work, including the D850 which produces some of the highest quality images available, and I understand image quality with this camera is as high as images made with 4×5 view cameras., especially with a good tripod and cable release. My goal is to get the image right in the camera and not rely on Photoshop, Lightroom or other post processing elements of the digital darkroom, but I do use these, and a few other tools, to ensure that images look exactly as I saw in the camera.
If you have any questions or comments about my photography, please send me a private email at davidclester@comcast.net.
Thanks for your interest!
